 
WHEELCHAIRS
FOR MAHALAPYE FROM GABORONE TIRELO ROTARY CLUB Rotarians:
President Rose Selema, PP Leif Bekker, Sikha Bekker and Sandra Stonehill from
Gaborone Tirelo Rotary Club delivered 10 wheelchairs to the Community Centre at
Mahalapye on Saturday 20 October. Ms Gaeyo Mothei from Botswana
Rail, who had helped set-up the handover, greeted us. Pastor Bagwasi delivered
the Opening Prayer and Matron Ms E Phakedi (District Health Team) made the introductions.
Mr Stephen Moreki from the District Health Team gave an overview. President Rose
Selema (Gaborone Tirelo Rotary Club) gave a speech and assisted with the presentation
of the wheelchairs.  We
were entertained by one of the wheelchair recipients, Mr Motsamai Maremela. He
played the guitar and sang his own composition " We came to the Community Centre
today and Gaborone Tirelo Rotary Club brought us wheelchairs. We are all very
happy!" We were provided with refreshments and then we were clapped and cheered
as we left for our journey back to Gaborone. What a day! To quote President Rose
Selema 'Job well done'. President
